Informal Education with Kelly Salmon & Alyson Michael

Our Guests
Kelly Salmon has a background in biochemistry and cell biology. She also has a long history of developing and coordinating STEM outreach. Dr. Salmon began working with the NHAS teaching a summer session in 2017 before joining full-time as Senior Scientist in 2018. She now leads summer programs, after school programs, professional development for teachers, and outreach to local schools. She is looking forward to continuing to teach students new techniques and fostering excitement in the scientific process.
Alyson Michael is a chemist with a focus on material chemistry. Since joining the NHAS full time in 2020, Alyson has created programs that implement new equipment and placed on emphasis on integrating quantitative methods into student experiments.
